[GOODS] Most Anticipated Games of 2012

Games! Games! Games! Now, I wouldn’t call myself a “hardcore” gamer, but I do love to play Call Of Duty online and maybe a couple of action-adventure story based games like the God Of War and Assassins Creed series. Some of the games that were announced at E3 this year really made me excited. I feel like these games might get me back into gaming. I wanted to share a list of games that I can’t wait to play this year!
The Last Of Us is created by Naughty Dog which is the same studio who brought you the Uncharted series. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic United States were Joel and Ellie have to survive from hunters, city through city. Users will be playing as Joel with Ellie being a “sidekick”. The Last Of Us looks amazing! It looks like the same mechanics as Uncharted but more created for mature players.
What can I honestly say about Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2. You know that it’s going to be the best selling game of the year and the multiplayer is fucking addicting! I like how this is taking place in the future and the new weapons. But yeah, I will be wasting a lot of my time online.
Oooh man! When I first saw the trailer for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance I couldn’t believe how much blood and gore there was! The awesome part, you finally get to play as Raiden! Story wise, I all I know is that it takes place nine years after Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots. I know the plot will be great, but I could honestly care less about the story cause I just wanna hack-and-slash enemies!
I am so happy to finally see a new and exciting Tomb Raider game! This series was definitely dying, so it’s awesome to see it get a facelift. It seems like Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have created a younger Lara Croft. From the trailer and gameplay, Tomb Raider looks like it will be a survival and action-adventure game. Weird how the new Lara Croft isn’t using her dual pistols, but a bow and arrows instead!
This is a very interesting move for the Resident Evil series. Where the previous games were more a survival-stealth horror game, Resident Evil 6 is all action! Instead of playing as one hero, players have to play through three different stories. So take on the roles of Leon Kennedy (Resident Evil 4), Chris Redfield (Resident Evil 5), and the Jake Muller. I can’t wait to run Raccoon City, Europe, and Hong Kong shooting up zombies!
There isn’t much info about Star Wars 1313, but I am sold just by looking at the gameplay trailer! From what I can see, players will be taking on the role of a Bounty Hunter and the setting will take place on the planet Coruscant. The graphics look too good for the PS3 and XBOX 360. I’m thinking this game will come out in 2013 for the next-gen consoles.
Through land and sea, the Assassin’s Creed III game is taking the series to another level! One of the top games I’m excited to play this year. It’s amazing to back in time and play through historic events. This time players will be taking on the role of Connor Kenway who is half-Engligh and half-Native American. Assassin’s Creed III is set to be much bigger than the previous games. The setting will take place in Boston and New York. Get ready to fight off the British!
Ubisoft, the same developers who brought you the Assassin’s Creed series are creating another breakthrough game, Watch Dogs! As you know the whole world is connected online, so what if you could hack through anything from your smartphone? Well in Watch Dogs you can. You’ll be playing as Aiden Pearce through the open world concept (like Assassin’s Creed). The graphics look so crisp and clean! I can definitely see this coming out on the next-gen consoles in 2013.
So there you have it, just some of the games that I am excited to get my hands on this year and in 2013! I didn’t want to make the list too long, but Grand Theft Auto 5 and God Of War Ascension are on my list as well.
